Trip of a Lifetime

London -> Edinburgh (Falkirk, Sterling) -> Dublin

My Dad, brother, sister, wife and daughter all took the trip of a lifetime together.

Thank you for everything, Nanny.

First Freeze

First day of the year the whole lake has a layer of ice over it.

North Shore

Sloan’s first time hiking the North Shore along Lake Superior.

4 years

Happy anniversary Sam.

Our wedding day was the best day of my life.

So thankful for our little family together.

Sure do love you.

Ghost of Paul Revere

Sam and I had a great time at The Ghost of Paul Revere’s farewell show at Thompson Point.

Fun weekend seeing friends and introducing everyone to Sloan.

…we think they’ll be back.

Little Changes

Life has changed quite a bit in the last few months.

The biggest change arrived this weekend.

Plus One, Zero, Negative One

There’s three kinds of people in your life.

+1’s. They make life better.

0’s. Sometimes they are a plus, other times they are a negative. Most of the time they are just there, and overall have a neutral impact on your life.

-1’s. They make life worse.

The quality of your life is largely determined by the quality of the people in your life.

Be a plus one for others.

Aim to have more pluses than negatives in yours.

Maine to Minnesota

When we first moved to Maine, the plan was to only be there for the 2 years needed for my wife to complete her Masters program. After that, we could go anywhere we wanted.

About six months into living in Portland, ME, we started to get a feeling we were going to be there a while. Hands down, it is one of the best places in the country.

Fast forward six years – we got married in Maine, bought our first house in Maine, got our first dog in Maine, and found some of the best people we’ll ever know.

It truly was a life defining period of time.

At the end of 2021, it was time to close our Maine chapter and make the next big move. The one we dreamed we could make happen once it was time to start a family.

Now, it’s on to the next chapter.

Welcome to Minnesota.
